Abstract

The purpose of this work is structural innovation for moving the bottom part of double seats for panoramic trains, with the purpose of flexible moving seats in angle 90° or 45°, which would help with comfort for passengers and levels up attractiveness of traveling. A current solution of turning seats from producer Bread is limited to 180° and does not allow arrest in an intermediate position, which limits variability and flexibility of traveling. The aim of this work is to overcome these things and create an innovative solution, which would be able to turn seats without any problem, whereas an intermediate position will have a key meaning for the comfort of passengers. This work won't be limited just for conceptual design, but it includes implementation calculations of the mechanism both analytically, and methodically MKP (finite element method), so it can reach the optimal and functional design. The aim is to ensure, that the designed seat will fulfill the required technical and ergonomic standards for rail transport and will provide passengers maximal comfort and safety during their traveling.
