Abstract
The Diploma Thesis deals with the mathematical modelling of the formation and development of cavitation in a simple component. In Laval veneer is simulated by the flow of water and steam. The veneer is expected cavitation so the task will include the modelling of this phenomenon. The introduction generally explains the problems of the origin and development of cavitation. This work describes the different types of cavitation and Laval nozzle.The mathematical model of cavitation for 2D geometry is explained, too. The structured Laval veneer 2D network is created using the Gambit program and the entire veneer model is calculated using the FLUENT v12.0.16 program. The work also lists parameters that are required for convergent calculation.
