Abstract

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create and to monitor usage of modern methods of welding on the field of mechanical engineering in the Czech Republic. By modern methods of welding this thesis refers to laser beam welding, plasma arc welding, electron beam welding, laser-hybrid welding and friction stir welding. There are principle of making welded joints, welding equipment, welding parameters, advantages, disadvantages and practical application listed for each method.
