Abstract

The thesis deals with the proposal for modification of the condensing circuit to deliver missing cooling performance during operation of the steam turbine at maximum output 17 [MW] with closed regulated extraction. In the thesis, I focused on the calculation of the optimal heat exchange surface for the desired operating condition. I compared the calculated optimal surface to the existing heat exchange surface of the condenser and on the basis of these values I suggested alternative parameters of the external condenser or substitution of the existing condenser. I described alternative necessary modifications of other devices of the condensing circuit. By implementation of mentioned modifications I achieved the increase of the active power from 14 [MW] to 17 [MW] during turbine operation with closed regulated extraction. In conclusion I carried out the economic and technical assessment of the individual variant
