Abstract

This thesis deals with the study of connections with hook commutator segments including links to the rotor windings for electric motors produced by spot resistance welding. The theoretical part describes the electric motor rotor and its use. Furthermore, the procedure resistance spot welding hook with copper windings on the rotor of the electric motor was described. According to changing the welding parameters five electric motors after different cycles of made connections were selected. First, a visual inspection was carried out without magnification. Subsequently documentation of macroscopic size of measuring oxidation of commutator for selected connections, and the number and size of defects on selected windings in all five electric motors was made. Subsequently was conducted metallographic microstructure of joints with subsequent etching of the prepared samples. Was performed discussion of results.
