Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with design of a bicycle helmet based on 3D scanning and 3D printing. Introduction focuses on research of bicycle helmets using special structures. It is on these structures that the research focuses the most. In the following part, the work focuses on conceptual design of the helmet, from sketching, through creation of a 3D model, to the final solution of details. It also shows the final design in the form of visualizations. Finally, it deals with the stress analysis of a sample of the structure used and weight calculation of the helmet.
