Abstract

The objectives of this diploma thesis are tests of aluminium oxide based ceramic at irregular interrupted cut. The introductory session describes the main information about cutting ceramics. The next part is decribing the influence of thermal and mechanical shock at the cutting edge. For the test was chosen puff pastry. The next is experimental part, which describes the test procedure, chosen cutting parameters. Tested was the number of shocks, which plane can resist at the different number of rails in the preparation. The results are presented in tables and graphs. Tested was plate from the company ISCAR. It was a type IN23. The plate was tested on two materials 12 050 and 15 128.
