Posouzení možností investování do vybraných fondů z pohledu drobného investora

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis examines mutual fund investing from the perspective of the retail investor, which can help them fight inflation and achieve their financial goals. The main objective of the thesis is to assess whether passive or active portfolio management is more beneficial. Active portfolio management is represented by mutual funds and passive portfolio management by ETFs. A secondary objective is then to evaluate which group of funds (equity, bond, money market funds) are a better choice in terms of return and risk. The findings show that equity funds are the best choice in terms of return, but money market funds are the safest choice in terms of risk. It also shows that passively managed funds are generally a better choice, but not in all cases.
