Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the crane hook strength calculation. The thesis is focused particularly on strength calculation of simple crane hook which is loaded with single force in its vertical axis. This problem is solved analytically and numerically. The analytical calculation is done in two ways – according to [1] and by theory of curved bars. The numerical calculation is done by the finite element method in programme ANSYS Workbench 19.2. The theoretical part explaining the given issue is included in both calculations. The results of the analytical and numerical calculation are finally compared.
