Abstract
The bachelor thesis is focused on steel production field from the general point of view and also in terms of production of specific brand of structural steel S355 in oxygen-converter steel plant in Třinec. The practical part is based on the results comparison of samples from the oxygen converter, secondary metallurgy of steel and final sample from the continuous casting. These samples were analyzed directly in the steel plant in Třinec ironworks and their results were compared with the results obtained in the laboratory of Technical University of Ostrava. Analyses were performed on identical samples and are focused on the comparison of the chemical composition of steel in the various stages of production. Furthermore, there was done metallographic analysis of the final sample from continuous casting.
