Abstract

This master thesis deals with optimalization of welding surfaces for laser welding. The weld joints are realized on on the upper sliding rail assembly, which has a practical application for the construction of car seats. The theoretical part of the master thesis analyzes the problems of laser welding, requirements for quality and flatness of surfaces in welded assemblies. The practical part of the master thesis deals with the methodology of testing and measuring of test pieces, specifically evaluation of macrostructure and microstructure of welded joints, measurement of welding microhardness and dimensional analysis of parts forming the welded assembly. For the optimalization of the weld surfaces, the assembly of the upper sliding rails with two-layer welded joints is proposed. Two-layer weld joints were also subjected to test and measurement techniques.
