Abstract

STAŇA, D. Comparison of Plastic Welding Technologies for Car Lamps: Bachelor Thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Deparment of Mechanical Technology, 2021, 54 p. Thesis head: Kozák, J. Bachelor thesis is dealing with plastic welding in the automotive industry. In detail it focuses on laser and vibration technology for welding car lamps. Representative lamps from the premium car manufacturer Jaguar were selected for a more detailed description of welding technologies. At the beginning of the work, the thesis describes theoretical part examined topic. Next are described the materials used for the lamps, the structural analysis of the weld and the production technology. Finally, the work is focused on a practical comparision of both technologies from sevevral perspectives: strength control of the welded joint, qualitative evaluation of the welded joint and Comparison of costs for technology and production of lamps. The result of the Bachelor thesis is a recommendation for which applications the given technology can be preferred.
