Abstract
The thesis studies the possibilities and strategies for applying Industry 4.0 at KOMA Industry company, a medium-sized enterprise in the Czech Republic operating in mechanical processing, welding, hydraulics and engineering services. The main objective of the thesis is to assess the maturity of KOMA Industry in applying Industry 4.0, thereby proposing a practical digital transformation plan.
The theoretical part provides an overview of Industry 4.0, its application in the Czech Republic and a comparison with neighboring countries such as Germany, Austria and Poland and the research method describes data collection and analysis of the current state of the company. Through the analysis, the author identifies gaps such as internal audit, material and production management, supplier evaluation, human resource training and customer satisfaction. SWOT analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of the company in digital transformation.
The author also proposes specific solutions to address the above issues. Next, the autor uses analysis according to the Acatech Industry 4.0 Maturity Index model shows the maturity level of the company in the fields of production, logistics, services, procurement, marketing and sales, based on four main factors: resources, information systems, organizational structure and culture.
Finally, the thesis proposes a detailed plan to complete the second phase of digital transformation, focusing on resources, information systems, organizational structure and corporate culture. The thesis also highlights the limitations of the study and concludes on the applicability of Průmysl 4.0, affirming the strategic role of technology in enhancing competitiveness and promoting innovation at KOMA Industry.
