Abstract

The Master Thesis deals with experimental testing of the drill DC170 with a unique geometry and circumferential grooves drain for process fluid. The goal of this thesis is to test a tool by an interrupted cutting. End the experiment when a damage starts to occure on the blade of the drill bit to prevent tool's destruction. Measure the final wearing, compare it and evaluate the result. The wearing of the tool caused by an interrupted cutting was compared to the wearing of the same tool but in a continuous cutting. Both experiments of interrupted and continuous cuttings were done under the same conditions.
