Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the description of the design, function and especially the current technologies of cartridge cases of small arms ammunition production. In the introduction, it discusses ammunition for small arms in general, its classification according to various parameters and general description of the cartridge. Then, it goes on to discuss cartridge cases. It describes them in terms of their purpose, function and construction and also discusses the materials used from the time of the first cartridge cases to the present day. The main part of the thesis deals with production technology. The development of technology from the beginning of cartridge production to the present day is briefly described. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of current modern production technologies. The thesis also includes a description of defects occurring during the production process. Finally, the development trends in the production of cartridge cases are described.
