Abstract
PECHA, Jiří. Topological Optimalization, Personalized Design and Production of Push Up Bars. Ostrava, 2024, Bache-lor’s Thesis. Ostrava: VSB – Technical university of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Machining, Assembly and Engineering Metrology. 346 p., Thesis supervisor: doc. Ing. Marek Pagáč, Ph.D.
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design and optimization of push-up bars using advanced digital methods for production through additive manufacturing. The main objective was to create an ergonomically adapted product with minimal weight while maintaining mechanical performance. Through topological optimization, structural parts were designed with efficient material distribution, allowing significant weight reduction without compromising strength.
The thesis also includes the development of a personalized grip section, based on a 3D scan of the user’s actual hand. A combination of SLM technology for metal components and SLA for detailed plastic parts was used. The resulting design combines technical efficiency, user comfort, and aesthetic value, demonstrating the potential of integrating modern optimization and manufacturing tools in the field of sports and ergonomic product design.
