Abstract

Thesis is divided into several parts. The introductory part deals with shoring and security watertight construction pits in the Czech Republic. There are described types of shoring and primarily the work deals with shoring using sheet pile walls. Because of the example used in the second part of this work which is building tank in the sea that is shoring sheet pile wall. Furthermore, this section includes an overview of the load acting on sheeting structure and explained the concept of Bathymetry, which is an integral part of the design of structures at sea. In the second part points to the emergence of regulations and standards used in Hong Kong. There is also described the geology construction site Shatin to Central Link C1121 - Cross Harbour Tunnel.
