Abstract
Fly ash, produced as waste during the combustion of coal in a power plant, can be evaluated
by adding into mixtures for the production of concrete, if it has certain chemical and physical properties, prescribed by the ČSN EN 450-1 standard. To achieve them, the fly ash is modified if necessary, e.g. by grinding, mixing, etc.
Modernized ash separators produce ash with different properties compared to the original equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to subsequently modify the ash treatment technology. Modifications of the operational unit of the power plant for ash treatment, its storage and dispatch are dealt with in this dissertation.
