Diplomová práce se zabývá posouzením technického stavu předválečného motocyklu Indian Scout. V úvodu práce je shrnut život závodníka a zakladatele firmy Indian George Hendee a generálního zástupce značky Indian Ing. Františka Maříka, vznik značky Indian a historie výroby zmíněného motocyklu. Dále jsou zde uvedeny konkurenční stroje jiných výrobců. Hlavní část práce se věnuje současnému motocyklu, jeho stavu a nutných oprav důležitých pro zachování historické hodnoty motocyklu. V závěru práce je zhodnocen výsledek práce z hlediska finančního, funkčního a také z hlediska původnosti.

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the technical condition of the pre-war Indian Scout motorcycle. The introduction of the work summarizes the life of the competitor and founder of the company Indian George Hendee and the general representative of the Indian brand Ing. František Mařík, the creation of the Indian brand and the history of the production of the aforementioned motorcycle. Competing machines from other manufacturers are also listed here. The main part of the work is devoted to the current motorcycle, its condition and necessary repairs important for preserving the historical value of the motorcycle. At the end of the work, the result of the work is evaluated in terms of financial, functional and originality.
