Abstract

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the modification of the K2 boiler in the Přívoz heating plant. At the beginning there is a comparison of the available technologies in connection with the issue of the boiler systems. The following part is devoted to the description of the current state of the combustion machinery, a description of the heating plant’s gas management and proposals of possible solution of the boiler modifications. These proposals are compared in the next chapter which includes technical descriptions of the boiler modification proposals. The next part deals with the calculation of the boiler efficiency using both coal and gas fuel. The final part is devoted to the economic evaluation of the proposed solutions. The heating plant’s gas management chart is included in the Annex of the bachelor thesis.
