Abstract
The diploma thesis focuses on optimizing the parameters of the Fischer–Tropsch synthesis to maximize the production of hydrocarbons in the form of waxes with melting points between 18 and 25 °C. These target hydrocarbons include hexadecane (C16H34), heptadecane (C17H36), octadecane (C18H36), and nonadecane (C19H38). In addition to the desired hydrocarbons, other hydrocarbons will also be produced and included in the analysis. The process efficiency will be evaluated based on the total production of liquid hydrocarbons and waxes, as well as the yield of specific hydrocarbons. The measurements were conducted using cobalt-based catalysts — one consisting solely of cobalt, and three others containing additives of Ce, Zn, or La. The best of these catalysts is identified in the conclusion. Additionally, the study explored renewable methods for obtaining the feed gases used in Fischer–Tropsch synthesis.
