Abstract
This thesis deals with the design of a hydraulic system for a cement mill, specifically the design of a hydrostatic bearing. The hydrostatic bearing is used to achieve the desired position of the cement mill shaft. The theoretical section describes the history of buildings, cement, and concrete. It also lists the types of bearings from which the hydrostatic bearing was selected. In the next section, the necessary calculations were performed to determine pressure and flow rate, verify the accuracy of the results in Ansys Fluent, design the hydraulic unit, design the hydraulic diagram, and specify the components. This thesis also includes an operating and maintenance manual for the equipment.
