Abstract
MIKULKA, Jakub. Rope hoist. Ostrava, 2025, Master’s Thesis. Ostrava: VSB – Technical university of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Machine Parts and Mechanisms. 347 p., Thesis supervisor: doc. Ing. Květoslav Kaláb, Ph.D.
The thesis focuses on the design of an electric wire rope hoist intended for versatile hobby use in environments such as workshops, garages, and similar spaces. The hoist is designed to lift and lower loads with a maximum weight of 300 kg when used with a pulley and 150 kg without a pulley. The maximum lifting height reaches five meters with a pulley and ten meters without one. The entire design complies with standards related to lifting equipment, particularly in the area of safety. The first part is dedicated to market research, from which the optimal design variant was selected. The proposed design is supported by the necessary calculations and a detailed description of individual components. For the complete model of the device, documentation has been prepared, including a general assembly drawing and manufacturing drawings of the drum and the frame weldment.
