Application for Bode Plot Drawing

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of an application for Bode plot drawing in MATLAB. The work focuses on the development of an interactive tool that enables users to visualise the frequency response of linear control-system elements and transfer functions. The theoretical part describes the principles of frequency-domain analysis and explains the process of constructing and interpreting Bode plots. The practical part presents the creation of a MATLAB App Designer application that allows users to input transfer functions, display magnitude and phase characteristics, and generate asymptotic approximations of frequency responses. The correctness of the developed functions was verified by comparing the obtained results with MATLAB’s built-in frequency response tools. The designed application can serve as a useful educational and visualisation aid for students studying control systems and frequency-domain analysis.
