Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a manual chain hoist intended for lifting and lowering loads in the vertical direction under manual operation. The designed device is intended for a maximum load capacity of 500 kg, with a guiding pulley, it enables lifting loads of up to 1000 kg. The maximum lifting height is 2.5 m. The design is developed in accordance with a guideline focused on operational safety. The thesis includes an overview of available manual chain hoists, on the basis of which a custom design concept of the hoist is proposed. The work includes the necessary calculations, a description of individual machine components, and technical documentation comprising an assembly drawing with bills of materials and a manufacturing drawing of a gear.
