Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a cargo bicycle, in cargo trike configuration, for commercial use in urban space. The introductory part introduces this type of transport vehicle. Then, a survey of the available bicycle models on the market, the dimensional specification of the bicycle and cargo compartment, and the design of the front axle and rear frame structure are presented. Based on the research carried out, the requirements for the final design are determined and the different frame design options are presented. The selected variant is elaborated on and introduced along with a description of the individual structural units. Critical parts are checked by FEM analysis. The required gas strut force, the stiffness of the front axle spring dampers and the calculation of the shoulder bolt are calculated analytically. Drawing documentation is created for selected components.
