Abstract
This thesis focuses on performing and numerical simulation of low cycle fatigue tests of steel 08CH18N10T. Important phenomena associated with cycling loading are described, especially in the areas of plasticity and viscoplasticity. Based on evaluation of experimental data and the observation of fundamental phenomena a constitutive model of plasticity was proposed, specifically Chaboche model extended by the Marquis rule of cyclic hardening. Fatigue tests are simulated with finite element method and simulation results are compared with experiments to validate accuracy of the calibration and model's capability to predict fatigue behavior.
