Abstract

Except performing welding joint by welding, which at this days beyond dispute belongs to technologies which make possible create different type of construction, also exist overlaying technology. The strip cladding is very flexible and economic alternative putting surface layers different chemical composition or properties like corrosion-resistant or hard facing, usually at low alloyed steel. Alloyed steels like corrosion-resistant steels or nickel alloys are for their properties necessary for many application at different production industry departments. Generally, the price of forging or weldment of those materials achieve surprising and often amazing prices. Consequently cladding using by strip electrodes is real way how to reduce prices those components like equipment for chemical and petrochemical industries, nuclear energetic or also renovation expendable parts. This doctoral thesis is concerned with cladding different type austenitic layers on low alloyed material to achieved not only suitable corrosion resistant effects, but also mechanical properties with corresponding metallographic structures. The appropriate range of non-destructive control, metallographic and mechanic testing was performed to have records also for nuclear energetic, which is aim of interest at those days. At the second part of my thesis work was performed comparing Electroslag Welding (72) to Submerged-Arc Welding (121) method, due to make sure that method of Electroslag Welding is technology which should be understood like very progressive and also most effective technology. Whole work is keep according a valid ISO, EN, ČSN include production norms, so those all results should be instrumental for common use.
