The bachelor's thesis deals with the current state of biofuels on the market. It begins
by defining what biofuels are and identifying the types commonly used in piston engines.
The subsequent chapters focus on the various impacts associated with biofuel usage, addressing the underlying causes of these effects, their implications, and potential preventive measures. The thesis further explores the issue of biofuel storage, which can be significantly constrained in certain cases, as different fuels are subject to varying degradation processes and have different maximum storage lifespans. Based on the gathered insights, a SWOT analysis
is conducted for the following biofuels: ATJ-SPK, HEFA-SPK, and HFS-SIP. In conclusion, this thesis provides essential information that may serve as a valuable resource for aviation operators
or private individuals, potentially influencing their decision-making process regarding
the transition to alternative fuels.
