Abstract

This master thesis deals with the evaluation of dimensionless quantities EGR cooler tubes, using the numerical modelling of flow in the ANSYS Fluent 13.0. These parameters are Re - Reynolds number, Nu - Nusselt number f - Faningův friction factor. In the introduction to general discussion on heat exchangers and their using. Other chapters are devoted to the theory of heat transfer and procedures for calculating the characteristic parameters. Subsequently defined mathematical model of the flow tube in the EGR cooler. The following chapters are presented 2D and 3D geometry of the coolers tubes, creating computer networks in these geometries, quality control and subsequent evaluation of the output values. In the last chapter, the data obtained by numerical modelling of flow analyzed by software Eureqa.
