Abstract

The dissertation focuses on the analysis of pressure bottle neck forming. The main goal is to generate a realistic model of this process in the QForm program for a larger bottle diameter – 360 mm. The analysis has been carried out for two die feed motion speeds: 250 mm/s and 350 mm/s. In order to generate the model the provided drawing documentation and output values were used. The semi-product material is 34CrMo4 steel. The subsequently gained process parameters, the force and torque in particular, will be used to design a new forging machine specified for larger bottle diameters.
