Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with Planning a Long Navigation Flight of a Single-engine Propeller Airplane According to VFR / IFR rules. The thesis is focused on methods of planning and execution of flights both in the past and in the present, about methods of selecting an appropriate airplane for long navigation flight and about the equipment and maintenance of the selected single engine airplane. The last part is focused on tentative estimation of flight costs. The central part of the thesis is a draft plan for a long distance flight. This chapter contains a comprehensive description of the procedure for planning a stopover flight from Doha to Yakutsk. The plan of the first part of the flight was realized by manual method using nomograms and charts taken from PC-12 Pilot's Operating Handbook. The next two parts of the flight were planned using the online software tool Sim Brief, which is often used for flight planning and flight simulations.
