Abstract

In diploma thesis I have considered testing tool life of cutting ceramics in interrupted cutting conditions in four variants. Based on testing determines the suitability of cutting ceramics for this type of machining. The introductory part is focused on explaining the impact of the problems of thermal and mechanical shock. The following chapter consists of introduction with cutting ceramics, division, and wears different kinds of physical and mechanical properties. The next section describes the methodology of testing variants and replaceable edge plates for turning. The following is an analysis and compilation process of the products used, the determination of cutting parameters and the election of cutting ceramic plates. The final part consists of measurements, processing and drawing conclusions.
