Abstract
The master's thesis deals with the methodology of calibrating a cemented carbide thermocouple for its subsequent use in temperature measurement during machining. The theoretical part analyzes heat and temperature during machining, heat measurement during machining, and temperature measurement during machining, where the principle of the thermocouple and its calibration options are described in detail. Other temperature measurement options are also mentioned in this chapter, such as the use of standardized thermocouples or pyrometers, which were also utilized in the practical part. The practical part deals with the selection of calibration methods for the cemented carbide thermocouple and the selection of a measurement system for the experiment. This is followed by the verification of the functionality of the measurement system using the chosen calibration methods. Finally, graphs are created to compare the results obtained from different calibration methods, and the most suitable calibration method for cemented carbide thermocouple is selected.
