Návrh multifunkčního volantu vozu Formula Student

Abstract

KUTIOVÁ, Kristýna. Design of Formula Student Multifunction Steering Wheel: Bachelor Thesis. Ostrava: VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Transport, 2014, Number of pages: 52. Supervisor: Ing. Jakub Šmiraus. This bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of the multifunction steering wheel of the Formula Student car. The first parts deals with the analysis of steering wheels of the formula’s cars and choosing a suitable semi-finished product for the base of the multifunction steering wheel. Then it describes selection of appropriate switches to start and stop the engine, quick release and wiring bundle. It contains design of completing the dashboard and steering wheel and also installing the switches in the dashboard. Part of this thesis are also models of the steering wheel, dashboard, switches and quick release created in Autodesk Inventor. Drawings to the holder of the dashboard was used for its manufacture and assembly. The essential objective of this thesis was to create a functional multifunction steering wheel, which was subsequently used for a Formula Student car.
