Využití konických stopkových fréz pro dokončovací frézování

Abstract

MAJERČÁK, Ladislav. Use of Conical End Mills for Finishing Milling: diploma thesis. Ostrava. Diploma thesis. VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Machining, Assembly and Engineering Metrology, 2023, 56 p. Thesis supervisor: Sadílek, M. The master's thesis deals with the utilization of barrel milling cutter in finishing milling. The aim of the thesis was to compare the results of roughness measurement and basic profile of surfaces machined with barrel milling cutter and ball-end mills. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly describes ball-end mills and barrel milling cutters. It presents their classification and the procedure for selecting a specific barrel milling cutter. Furthermore, it describes the inspection of surface structure, including the calculation of theoretical roughness. In the practical part, the preparation of the experiment is presented, along with the description of the used equipment, selected tools, and their cutting conditions. Subsequently, the course of the experiment is described, including the measurement procedure and data evaluation. Machining times were also compared. The outcome of the thesis is the comparison of productivity and surface structure in machining with barrel milling cutter and ball-end mills.
