Abstract
The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis processes literary studies on gluing technology. Discussing the key properties of adhesives, their distribution, utilization in the automotive industry, designing of adhesive joints and their strength tests.
Experimental part of the bachelor thesis deals with the dependence of the strength of glued joints on external conditions. The contact surfaces of aluminum samples are cleaned by a laser. The joint is glued with two types of adhesives, 3M 7260 B / A FC and Würth POWERBOND glue. It is a test of the effect of different temperatures and humidity on the shear strength of joints and Youngs modulus of elasticity. The shear strength is determined by a tensile test according to the ČSN EN 1465 standard and Young's modulus of elasticity is based on Hook's law.
