Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the most advantageous surface treatment for shear pin tools that are used for division of thin-walled open profiles in the company KVARTA LITOVEL, a. s. (joint-stock company). The most advantageous surface treatment has to achieve of minimum wear and maximum quality of cutting surface. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part is described general knowledge from the branch of division of thin-walled profiles. In this part, there is described share pin tools currently used and intended surface treatments and a methodology of experimental work. In the practical part, there will be records about executed tests. Finally I will evaluate the most advantageous surface treatment of share pin tools.
