Co-peletizace jako možnost zpracování hasicích prášků po expiraci

Abstract

This master thesis focuses on the processing of expired fire extinguishing powders using the co-pelletization method with grass biomass in the form of hay as the feedstock. First, the issues surrounding ABC and BC fire extinguishing powders are described, including their composition, behavior during a fire, and methods of disposal after expiration. Next, the biomass used is characterized, and the pelletization process is described, including its basic steps and the factors influencing the quality of the resulting pellets. The thesis further analyzes the chemical-thermal and physical-mechanical properties of the pellets, ash fusibility, ash chemistry, and emission aspects of mixtures containing the fire extinguishing powders. In the experimental section, the input raw materials undergo basic characterization; mixtures of hay with varying proportions of expired ABC and BC fire extinguishing powders are prepared and subsequently processed into pellets. The produced pellets are tested, and the results of the individual samples are compared. The thesis includes an assessment of the suitability of this processing method and a design for a homogenizer to prepare the mixtures prior to pelletization.
