Abstract
This thesis defines activities of the national tourist authorities in the Czech Republic. Firstly, the document called The State Tourism Policy Concept for 2007–2013 is shortly analyzed. This document was issued by The Ministry for Regional Development as its main instrument for managing tourism in the Czech Republic. The next part of the thesis explains destination marketing theoretically and then it describes the principle activity of The Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism. This national contributory organization is working on destination marketing management of the Czech Republic. The following part of the thesis compares the development of Czech Tourism in years 2000 - 2009 by statistical indicators of guests at collective accommodation establishments and by foreign currency incomes and expenses. Based on all discovered information the possible development of tourism in the Czech Republic after 2013 is suggested in the last part of the thesis. There are three alternatives of the future tourist development and for each one of them is suggested appropriate way of marketing management.
