Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of reducing the consumption of nitrogen during laser cutting of corrosion-proof sheet metals. In the introduction the principles and individual types of laser cutting are described. This is followed by the economic analysis of the process when using qualitatively different gases from pressure cylinders, from a cryogenic vessel and from a nitrogen generator. Another means of finding economic savings is the step-by-step setting of six cutting parameters and the evaluation of their impact on the final nitrogen consumption. The practical part includes the guidelines how to calculate the gas consumption already before cutting. The output of the thesis is the identification of the optimal cutting conditions while using a smaller amount of gas in comparison to the original setting.
