Abstract

The thesis deals with the use of desulphurization equipment in the boiler K 14 in Power Plant Třebovice which is not capable to meet emission limits given by legislation without the application of flue gas desulphurization when combusting black coal dust. The first part of the thesis describes the boiler K 14 and its technical equipment and continues with the treatment of secondary power products within the existing operation. The second part is concerned with the brief description of basic desulphurizing methods used in power engineering. The third part focuses on the description of desulphurizing method which uses the technology of desulphurization by sodium bicarbonate, including the basic constructional description of individual machine parts and the proposal of secondary power products treatment when applying this method of SO2 reduction.
