Abstract

SKÝBA, J. A Pressure Steam Boiler System for Municipal Waste Combustion with Higher Steam Parameters: Master Thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of mechanical engineering, Department of energy engineering, 2011, 70 pages, Thesis head: Vilimec, L. Master thesis describes the design of alternative construction of steam superheater for municipal waste combustion steam boiler. The introduction deals with the reasons for increasing the efficiency of energy facilities, explains problems of heat transfer and describes some of the technologies that transform primary energy contained in municipal wastes with higher efficiency. In the next section I described the problem of corrosion which is the main limiting factor in increasing steam parameters. Finally I made heat calculation in order to determine the size of an alternative steam superheater. In the end I compared the original solution and my designed alternative solution.
