Abstract
The final thesis deals with the design and strength calculation of the supporting frame of the silo according to valid standards. In the introductory part, a research focused on current standards and Eurocodes for the design and analysis of steel structures is carried out. A 3D model of the structure is constructed, followed by a strength analysis including combinations of different loads using the finite element method. The results show that the structure meets the requirements for load-bearing capacity, operational reliability and resistance to exceptional loads, including the simulation of a truck impact. The work also includes modal analysis to verify the risk of resonance and to check the loss of stability of the structure. The proposed structure is suitable for implementation and the thesis demonstrates a systematic procedure for the design of the structure in accordance with the applicable standards.
