Stanovení protismykových vlastností povrchů pomocí kyvadla PTV a metody MTD

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of pavement skid resistance, specifically for cement concrete pavements. The theoretical part provides a literature review on pavement roughness, friction mechanisms, and factors affecting road safety. The experimental part is divided into two phases. The first phase involved laboratory measurements on samples with different surface textures (transverse tining, exposed aggregate concrete, hand-troweled concrete, and an sample without surface treatment) and testing the influence of chemical treatments on the resulting roughness. The second phase is dedicated to field measurements at seven bus stop locations in real traffic. The PTV pendulum and the MTD volumetric method were used to evaluate microtexture and macrotexture. The main contribution of the work is a comparison of these methods and an assessment of their suitability for diagnosing surface conditions in critical sections. The measurement results are converted to reference conditions and subsequently evaluated with regard to applicable regulatory requirements.
