Abstract

The thesis deals with the study of a transparent coating system designed for short-term corrosion protection. The first theoretical part of the diploma thesis describes contemporary knowledge about surface properties and possibilities of its pretreatment before application of protective coating. The composition of the organic coatings used for anti-corrosion purposes and the influence of the factors influencing the degradation of the coating system are described here. Furthermore, the temporary short-term protection function is described using a nanoparticle coating system. The second part of the thesis is focused on the description of the experimental tests which verify the properties of the coating system, depending on its aging before it is applied to the underlying material and subsequently exposed to weather conditions. The results to prove that the aging of the paint prior to application to the underlying material degrades the resulting properties of the transparent coating system during its exposure under atmospheric conditions.
