Handlingové služby na mezinárodním letišti Ostrava a možnosti zvyšování jejich efektivity

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the analysis of ground handling services at Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport and explores possibilities for increasing their efficiency. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of these services, identify operational shortcomings, and propose measures leading to more efficient and sustainable airport operations. The analysis shows that the existing handling system corresponds to the character of a regional airport and functions adequately under the current traffic volume. However, with the growing number of passengers and flights, certain capacity and organizational limits are becoming more apparent. Therefore, the thesis proposes measures focused on process optimization, more effective scheduling of charter flights, implementation of self-service technologies, and strengthening the airport’s competitiveness within the regional market.
