Abstract

This master thesis is focused on designing a chair that reduces elder’s people effort when getting to standing position. The first part of this thesis is compiled research of current solutions in a different price levels. After requirements were established there is a design of possible variants. Variants are compared based on chosen criteria, which leads to choosing the optimal variant which was shaped into its final form with a list of purchased components from manufacturers. Optimal variant was checked with calculations of parts and stress analyses of assemblies.
