This bachelor thesis deals with design of the heat pump for heating and preparation of hot water in family house. In initial part there are introduced low-potential heat energy sources in the Czech Republic. The following chapter presents the distribution of types of heat pumps and their operation explained. Chapter 5 and 6 deals with determination of heat losses and setting the house needs for heating and hot water. On heat requirement is designed appropriate heat pump. The conclusion are assessed the economic and environmental point of view.
