Design of a blaster for shooting foam projectiles and its 3D printing

Abstract

This master thesis focuses on the design of a modular foam projectile blaster optimized for additive manufacturing using 3D printing technologies. The thesis includes an analysis of the current market and technological state of foam dart blasters, including propulsion systems, modularity, and compatibility standards. Based on the acquired knowledge, a custom spring-powered blaster designated “ANAM-15” was designed with emphasis on manufacturability, modularity, compatibility with standardized interfaces, and minimization of purchased components. The thesis also addresses optimization for FDM printing, selected structural design solutions, and assembly documentation.
